Who is She
Harmony Hillyard is a trauma-informed author, advocate, speaker, and survivor who writes with raw honesty and redemptive hope. Through her books Refiner’s Reach and The Exploited: What Healing Looks Like Now, Harmony shares her journey from religious manipulation and hidden abuse to healing, freedom, and purpose.
With a background in anti-trafficking ministry and lived experience that defies simple narratives, Harmony has dedicated her life to helping others find clarity in the chaos, healing in the hurt, and truth in the ashes. She believes that God wastes nothing—not even our pain—and that every scar can become a testimony of His faithfulness.
Harmony is the host of The Exploited Podcast, where survivors and advocates share their stories of redemption and resilience. Her work creates safe spaces for processing, truth-telling, and the messy, holy work of healing.
When she's not writing or speaking, Harmony is raising her children to love Jesus more than religion, sipping energy drinks, and advocating for the voices the world too often overlooks in human trafficking rescue.

Instead of working, I read the whole dang book! Harmony it is SO SO good. You are a really great writer. And I really don't just pass out compliments about stuff like that. Enough details, but not too much. I'm stunned honestly. I'm sorry you had to endure all of that but I'm proud of your resilience, but more your willingness to listen and learn and grown and be refined by it all.
